The hypocrisy of the west!

It’s a sad reality we all take part in. For years longer than I have lived the west has descried socialism as the great evil, the stealer of the individual, and they have actively fought against the ideas of socialism everywhere it’s seed has sprouted.

Yet here we are in 2009, where we have witnesses the corrupt financial systems of the world consume themselves in greed. And what have the powers turned to to save their wretched financial systems? None other than the ideas of socialism! They have employed corporate socialism to help save their financial institutions. It just goes to show how powerful these ideas are when they themselves have to turn to them to save themselves.

I just think it’s a shame that the financial systems are worthy of receiving state socialism, yet the citizens themselves are deemed not worthy of this kind of help.

A lesson for all indeed!

Life: Update!

Well here we are, it’s 2009! Welcome to the future! It’s been an interesting start so far, work-wise I’ve got plenty to chew on at this placement that I’ve been on since October, ranging from getting stuck into some PHP stuff, which I’ve been wanting to do for a while, to setting up a nice new server machine, and helping draw up ideas and proposals for new projects on the horizon. So lots of interesting things happening there, my time is up in March so I will have to really push to get something ready for that finishing up as well.

I also picked up the DSA theory test kit today, dope willing, ‘09 will be the year I get some wheels! And maybe some other cool stuff too…
